How Promotional T Shirts Help You Advertise Your Business

Did you realize that promotional custom printed T shirts can be a powerful advertising tool at your disposal?

You did not probably notice before but large companies are always giving out their shirts.  Wells Fargo, Best Buy, Target and Nike come to mind but many other ones do it as well. They give them out at sporting events, large events, concerts and during special occasions.

The reason: not only do they build good will towards your company but they allow other people to advertise your business for you.

There is no other form of advertising like it!  Think about it for a moment.  When you give a person a shirt with your logo on it there is a good chance they will wear it from time to time.  It may be at the gym, to school or during their daily activities.

When they are wearing the custom T shirt they received from you then other people are seeing it.  It could be in the check out stand at the grocery store, when they are walking in the mall, or while they happen to be running on the treadmill.  A person wearing a screen printed tee shirt with your logo on it becomes a walking billboard and they do not even know it.  No matter where they go that person is advertising your company.

When you look at it like that $10-$15 a shirt (little more or less depending on what type of shirt your get) seems cheap compared to the amount of exposure it can bring your over the course of months, maybe years.

I am still wearing a Toyoto Tundra T shirt that was given to me at an NBA sporting event back in 2004!  It was the best game I ever saw and I love this shirt!  Who knows how many times a person saw me wearing it and went to a Toyota dealership the next day to check them out.

How to Get Started

There are many places you can give out your free custom printed shirts.  It could be at one of your children sports games, a party you have, a booth you rent for a day at the mall or in an open place where you know there is going to be a lot of people.

Find a good custom shirt printing company and have at least 20-30 shirts made.  When you order in bulk they are not that expensive.  There will be a $40-$60 initial art fee for the designer to make them but once you cost it out over many shirts its no big deal.

Have them send them to you and pass them out.  Make sure you get them in a nice blend of small, medium, large and extra large.  Give them to a wide variety of people.  Pass them out to older ones, younger ones, teenagers, woman and men.  You want a nice variety of people to wear them.

Voila! You spent several hundred dollars but now you have walking advertising working for you at no cost for several years to come.
